The Vodacom Blue Bulls outplayed the Bloem side 73-13, while the Capetonians won 50-28 against the Leopards and the Durbanites took care of their counterparts from the Xerox Golden Lions, winning 23-12.

It was a high-scoring affair in Bloemfontein, where the visitors from Pretoria ran amok. The Vodacom Blue Bulls scored 11 tries, with Blitzbok JC Pretorius, playing on the flank in the light blue jersey, helping himself to three of those.

The Vodacom Blue Bulls scored seven tries last weekend against DHL WP and are clearly doing something right on attack – they have scored 128 points thus far this season, which is almost double to the next best side in the competition.

The men from Pretoria held a 31-7 half-time lead in Bloemfontein and extended that with regular intervals. The home side scored four tries at Xerox Shimla Park though, to earn a bonus point.

DHL Western Province scored eight tries to four in their win over visiting Leopards in Bellville on Saturday. They outscored their opponents four tries to two in each half, a good indication of the edge they had over their North West opponents.

Sihle Njezula, who moved to centre for this match, scored a try and outside him, Sam Phiri got a brace.

The Leopards suffered their first defeat after beating the Cell C Sharks the week before and against showed to be a very competitive force thus far.

Two tries by Junior Springbok fullback Thaakir Abrahams helped the Cell C Sharks to their first win over the highly-rated defending champions.

The home side were boosted by the return from Argentina by other Junior Boks such as Phendulani Buthelezi, Fez Mbatha, JJ van der Mescht and Blitzbok Muller du Plessis, which showed in their performance.

They were slow getting in their stride and although both teams scored twice, the boot of KZN flyhalf Boeta Chamberlain proved vital as he kicked 13 points.
